the red haired girl with her parachute words kept me from falling from the plane falling at 500 miles an hour which was way too fast. my skin rushed and pulled pushing through my every vein the wind here turns me pale i wanted to sing fall over, sing the breath songs you would understand even though they never came from my mouth. and every dose into my bloodstream makes it a little bit thinner my eyes felt it wasn't easy to see straight. one day we'll raise our bodies into the sky well above the lights we left behind the world will be be below passing past my feet the pressure mounts from inside. i'll see your shape softly forming by my side, the last lines were never quite right. i know we'll make it to the other side just in time, just in time.
